Day 1:Arrive in Interlaken
Upon arrival at Interlaken railway station or airport, meet with representative and transfer to the hotel.
Interlaken derives its names from its fascinating location, as this scenic town is nestled between two placid lakes – Thun and Brienz. Offering vistas of the magnificent Alps, it has been an international tourist destination for a long time. Interlaken also provides majestic views of the sky-piercing Jungfrau, and is the starting point for many trekking expeditions.
On reaching the hotel, check-in and enjoy an overnight stay.
Day 2:Excursion from Interlaken to Jungfraujoch
Start the day with a filling breakfast and then embark on an adventurous excursion to Jungfraujoch.
Situated at around 11000 feet, Jungfraujoch boasts the highest railway station in the world. The train ride takes you past the gigantic Monch and Eiger mountains and allows you to capture their breathtaking views in camera. As your ride ends, you enter a paradise of imposing peaks covered with snow.
During your time here, admire the beauty of the Aletsch – the largest glacier in the Alps – from a vantage point, and wander into the Ice Palace to see the intricate ice sculptures.
Following this eventful day, retreat to the hotel and rest for the night.
Day 3: Interlaken to Lucerne
Post a scrumptious meal in the morning, check-out from the hotel and move to the railway station to board the train to Lucerne.
Located in central Switzerland, the tranquil city of Lucerne is nestled amidst snow-capped peaks in the foothills of the majestic Alps. The lake-side city is not only noted for its picturesque landscape, but also for its historical heritage, as it is home to the centuries-old Musegg Wall and the clock tower, Zytturm. It is also a gateway to the nearby skiing and hiking destinations.
Passing through the scenic Brünig Pass, reach your destination, and later transfer to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 4:Excursion to Mount Titlis
Following a hearty morning meal, set out on a thrilling excursion to the soaring Mount Titlis.
Board a train in Lucerne to travel to Engelberg – a small alpine town. Famous for the Benedictine monastery located here, the charming Engelberg is surrounded by snow-clad mountain peaks.
As you reach your destination, astounding views of the Swiss landscape treat you. From here, hop onto a cable car/gondola and enjoy a thrilling ride to Trubsee.
On reaching Trubsee, board another cable car to Stand, and finally from there, reach Mount Titlis aboard a revolving cable car.
The revolving cable car, also the first one of the world, will give you 360-degree panoramic views of the Engelberg Valley. As you elevate to 10000 feet, you can see the deep crevasses formed on the surface of the glacier.
At about 10000 feet, Titlis is famed to be one of the highest mountains in Central Switzerland. It lures mountaineers from all over the world and is a great point to capture unparalleled vistas of the snowy surroundings.
While here, visit the impressive glacier cave, which is almost 500-feet long grotto running 60-feet below the ice surface.
From the Ice Flyer chairlift, marvel at the majestic landscape below. Gliding over snowfields and icy depths, you come across the real beauty of Switzerland that lures tourists from all across the globe.
At 10000 feet above sea level and over 1500 feet above the ground, walk on a narrow bridge held by steel cables. This Titlis Cliff Walk is also popular as the highest suspension bridge in Europe, and passing it will become an everlasting memory for you.
To end this eventful day, retreat to Lucerne and enjoy a good night's sleep at the hotel.
Day 5:Departure from Switzerland
After a delicious breakfast, transfer to Swiss border or the international airport to come back home.
